The operation of the Tilt Switch is very simple.  It is usually suspended by a wire rope or chain at the point of material accumulation.  As material reaches the unit and tilts it from the normally vertical position, a 38mm dia steel ball operates a single pole double-throw Micro-switch.  Tilt switches will detect high level material level in open stock piles and bins or control flow by stopping and starting conveyor equipment.

Specification:
The body is made from corrosion resistant cast aluminium alloy.  Shaft and actuator at the bottom are made to client’s specification or can be supplied as shown with a 10mm dia stainless steel shaft and Polypropolene float.
